Below follows a short overview of the known bugs and limitations known at the time of writing this help document.

This list merely gives an overview of these problems.

Bugs

  • On some video drivers, the TISKnip window is still present in the captured image even though it is not visible on the desktop.
  • When the CPU is heavily loaded, TISKnip might not be able to capture control of the mouse. Try increasing the priority of the TISKnip process or wait till the CPU is less loaded.

Limitations

  • TISKnip supports BMP, JPEG, GIF and PNG files as output to disk.
  • TISKnip supports BMP, JPEG, GIF and PNG files as input from disk.
  • TISKnip (Version 9 and later) only supports MS Windows NT products version 5 and higher:
    Windows 2000 Server, Professional; Windows XP; Windows Server 2003; Windows Vista; Windows Server 2008
